Did a trial run on living on Koh Chang, Thailand this week and really excited to move there next month.
The island has incredible nature: mangrooves, great hornbills (toucan like birds), elephants, incredible insect and bird diversity. The beaches are surprisingly wild and sandy. Hadn't explored the waters yet as it's a very strong rainy season there right now but I do hope scuba is accessible there too.

Only mail client that anyone already has.
I see a lot of good projects by new generation of developers don't even try mailing lists resulting in a mess of accounts for those who want to participate.

Yep I was banned today, I made a comment which (according to bbqkitty) gained the sub 1300 members within the 2 hours the comment I made was up, absolutely crazy growth when people find out there's a good alternative sub.

Ooh, I've been looking for something exactly like this for years. I have a few headless servers and trying to troubleshoot networking issues on them has been a bit of a pain sometimes. I've found ways to deal with it, but I've been wanting some kind of portable screen/keyboard combo for a while now. Last time I looked, the only examples I could find were ridiculously expensive for what they offered.
This is kind of like the Motorola Atrix, which I thought was neat back in the day, but hopefully they find more success now that USB-C means this class of device can be more generally compatible.
I wonder if it would make sense to use standard 18650 batteries instead so they could be swapped out or added on to, or at least I hope the unit is repairable and not future e-waste.
does it charge the Steam Deck enough to keep the Steam Deck’s battery topped off? More pointedly: if you plug the CrowView Note into the wall, can it provide enough power to run it *and* the Steam Deck indefinitely?

Last week, the first point release of Ubuntu 24.04 LTS arrived and upgrades from Ubuntu 22.04 LTS officially enabled. Only, those upgrades? They didn’t work out so well for everyone who tried...
Huh. Did did two lts upgrades back to back just a few days ago.
One was disatrous because the updater program didn't revert changes properly when it encounters an error (e.g. snapd being disabled/system critical packages being dependant on packages updated by PPAs, like kisak's).
The other was perfect smooth sailing.
Does anyone have the link to the launchpad issue mentioned?
