@PC_Fluesterer It's a downside, for sure. They are working on it though, and there is a guide on how to upgrade without losing files - still a bit of a hassle compared to a tidy, in-place upgrade though.

It's also good to see it's a retroactive move where they fix old games too and not like GFWL garbage that just ceased to function with no fixes for the games from its developers. Community had to hack those games to make them work again.

I never understood why you need a launcher on top of Steam/Epic. All the functionality the launcher provides can be bundled up into an SDK and implemented inside the game 🤷‍♂️

Warp is actually pretty slick. I know a couple #Ubuntu #HPC community folks that use it. It's quite helpful when they're like "hey this code is busted" and then can share exactly what's going on in their terminal in the bug report.

I've thought about trying it out just to experience it, but personally I'm quite happy with byobu + alacritty 😅
