Although being a die hard WH40k fan, this doesn't tickle me. I played DoW in every iteration for hundreds of hours back then, so this definitive edition offers to little imho. I'd rather want to have a proper reboot or a sequel to DoW II. A shame there never was a third game. For some reason my heart feels stabbed now.
There's some drama in Steam Deck land with a Decky Loader plugin, that works with Lossless Scaling Frame Generation from the new lsfg-vk project for Linux.
The thing is that I »know« what it says, but tech headings these days have become such a mumbo jumbo shorthand of previously unrelated words that even connecting which words go together is a feat. 🙂

Wine 10.12 is out now as the latest development release towards Wine 11, bringing new features and bug fixes for running Windows apps / games on Linux.
The nice surprise is that it doesn't 'feel' or play like the usual casual type game.
The movements are very fluid, the physics aren't overdone or spongy, and the lightning and shadows seem very AAA level. It's nicely done and rather impressive.

I’ve had this 2015 MacBook Pro lying in a closet for 4 years. Just gave it a second life by installing #fedora #linux. It can still serve a good few years 🫡 and I just needed to up the privacy #ZeroWaste
Once that gets pushed through, OBS Browser Source should be working and reasonably stable on Fedora Asahi 42, and it should already be fine on Fedora 42 on other platforms as of a few hours ago. Please report any bugs on the Fedora bugzilla, this also helps the OBS project since we're also testing a newer CEF version ahead of upstream!

are you sure this is more scientific than the endless flood of AI-generated press releases from AI companies claiming you can pay them $20/month to replace $200k/yr skilled professionals and every anyone will easily become *the* next zuckerberg? FOMO hype train automation as a service!
I can see how Ai for coding can be useful if you're learning and we assume Ai gives correct code. So you learn from it only when you need to instead of waiting for hours on social networks to get a reply. But we all know Ai outputs bullshit constantly and people always entirely rely on it to do shit and not just when there is specific need.
The "AI" tool users show a somewhat steady linear completion over time, whereas the "non-AI" users follow more of an s-curve (I think they're called sigmoids?).
the breakdown is really interesting. I mostly use it via ollama for code completions, so I don't have a prompting overhead. I ask the chat assistants only when I really don't know how to approach a problem at all.
Also, even if it could maybe speed up unexperienced developers, they will hardly become experienced developers if they rely on the AI and do not learn to solve problems by themselves.
I'm finally reading this paper but my first thought is anybody on earth good at predicting how long a task will take them....?
Setting aside the small person sample, randomizing the tasks within developer is....
AI can expand your capabilities if used properly, I know it for a fact, my scripts as a sysadmin got a whole lot more complex and better the day I started using chatGPT...
