Also me: WTF?!? Why are you using LLMs to replace "thinking"? Why would you replace a human with this??? OMG, no! Stop what you're doing! 😱
I keep feeling that most people see LLMs as purely wrong on every level, or else they're wonderful and we should use them for everything. There's no room for nuance.
Also note: I'm talking about the technology, not how it's been implemented. LLMs may be more powerful when they're built on materials that copyright holders don't want to allow, but that doesn't mean that those built on public-domain material aren't useful. As a technology, transformers and LLMs are still powerful when applied to ethically-sourced material.
