Good news for your Friday: an EV battery recycling facility just opened in Ohio, and will recycle lithium-ion batteries from EVs, hybrid cars, e-bikes, and energy storage systems!
According to the recycling company, Cirba Solutions, the plant will be able to churn out enough battery-grade metal salts to power 250,000 new EV batteries every year, the company claims.
As a reminder, a whooping 0% of gasoline is recyclable 🤨

in reply to Fedora Project • • •Hah yes! Constantly running spyware and bloatshit to gather behavioural data from your users so that you can more credibly sell your prediction models and compete with Google - who would have thought that would slow an operative system down! Well done Microsoft, fuck yourself I'm never touching your ick ever again!
Also, Linux rocks. And the amount of personal investment next to day jobs that goes into making it work. This is what makes the world go around. Not goddamn capitalism and billionare dimwits and their even dimmer police forces.

in reply to Fedora Project • • •Awesome article. I've seen Linux outperform Windows in Blender and PovRay rendering. It's still quite behind in video editing, though, e.g. DaVinci Resolve.
What frustrates me the most with Linux is the sad state of NVIDIA drivers. One day they crash at boot. Another day they're full of glitches. Another day they degrade terminal performance to the point of being unusable. Let's not talk about Wayland. I've had to downgrade to my Intel iGPU as a result.
