KDE Plasma will continue having an X11 session, as Kubuntu switches to Wayland by default
KDE developers confirm Plasma will continue having a maintained X11 session, and now we know Kubuntu will be Wayland by default.Liam Dawe (GamingOnLinux)
What is also nice is how well KDE Plasma 6.4 runs XWayland.
This is really important, as it'll take a long time before most X11 apps are updated to a Wayland session.
Some may never get there.

mojang is actually really harming minecraft modding with all the tiny updates containing massive refactors lately. anyone maintaining a significant codebase is likely to get impacted at every minor release now. people (including me) are starting to just burn out and stop updating their things, while getting bombarded by players with update requests
it’s just no fun anymore like this…
the one mod i still enjoy developing is trickster, and that’s probably because i’m intentionally keeping it stuck at 1.21.1

I have come to the conclusion that Wayland just, still isn't ready (for me, at least), it's been more fiddly and problematic than X11 ever has been for me.
Especially right now trying to get my drawing tablet set up, first of all it scrambled the order of *all* of my monitors, and then after that was sorted, I was able to re-map the input positioning to it's screen, but no matter what I tried the pen buttons *would not* remap to be what they should have been, which made it almost unusable.
Normally i'm a good FOSS steward and will put together bug reports and the like, but i'm just too exhausted from all this fiddling, it's not worth it.
I think i'm going to keep sticking to X11 because at least my shit all works properly there
@lina I am, `--enable-features=UseOzonePlatform --ozone-platform=wayland`
As for kwin support for it, huh, wayland.app/protocols/wayland-… didn't mention any compositors supporting it, maybe because it's not the "final" version, I might need to fuck with some flags or something to enable it.
No idea
