in reply to Fedora Project

Got a message in. Love the work you all do and I hope it keeps expanding in the future. The Atomic project has been amazing. Seeing all the silveblue, Bluefin, Bazzite, and Aurora rise out of it has been amazing. These Atomic projects have been some of the most stable OS's I have ever had the privilege of running on a laptop.
in reply to Fedora Project

oops, forgot to mention in the last section that Fedora Silverblue should just be Fedora Atomic GNOME/Workstation.

Also in the architecture part isn't easy to read for nontechnical people (x86_64 but the counterpart is i686?)

Linux Kernel's gconfig Finally Ported From GTK2 To GTK3

Fedora's FESCo To Decide Whether To Replace Upstream X.Org Server With XLibre Fork

In addition to the Fedora Engineering and Steering Committee (FESCo) having to decide on whether i686 support should end for Fedora Linux (including multilib), another contentious proposal is on replacing the X.Org X11 Server with the controversial XLibre fork...
phoronix.com/news/Fedora-43-XLโ€ฆ

in reply to Phoronix

Leaving aside the legitimate concerns about the project's governance right now, and speaking as someone who'd dearly like Xorg to be forked by someone who cares about X11, XLibre doesn't sound as if it's a viable, compatible, replacement right now. Certainly it needs time to prove itself and for its developer base to prove their commitment to maintaining a stable, secure, and backward compatible X11 server.

The /r/linux reddit sub is silly.

OMGUbuntu and us (GamingOnLinux) are banned.

So we end up with stuff like this where it's from XDA, sourced via Neowin that originally sourced OMGUbuntu.

Some people are so insanely against news sites, despite news sites being the way most people will know about a lot of things.

Most people don't read mailing lists, launchpad and github.
