หลายวันมานี้ก็นั่งแกะโค้ดเพื่อปรับตาม comment โดยเฉพาะการเขียน unit test ทำให้ไปเจอปัญหาเพิ่มก็ไล่แก้จนผ่าน แต่มันดันไป trigger test failure ในที่อื่น งานเลยยังไม่จบง่ายๆ
@veer66 ในที่สุดก็เข้าใจเหตุผลของการยัด object กลับเข้า list นอกเหนือจากเรื่อง ownership คือมันเอาไว้ป้องกันการชนกันของ pattern ระหว่างแบบ wildcard ที่มันสามารถกระจายไปซ้ำกับแบบที่ไม่มี wildcard ได้ การยัดกลับจะ fail ถ้า string ที่ match นั้นมันซ้ำกับ pattern ที่มีอยู่ แล้วมันก็อาศัย failure นี้แหละกรอง case ออก
ปัญหาคือ failure นี้มันดัน block ไม่ให้ patch ผมทำงาน ผมจำเป็นต้องเอาออก แต่ก็ต้องหาทางออกให้เขาด้วย

in reply to Honza • • •@knezi I understand that most people in the linux world, especially those coming from standalone window managers think of tiling as meaning auto-tiling, but frankly its useful to have a word to describe this kind of manual tiling functionality. Especially since I don't think auto-tiling, particularly when keyboard controlled with lots of shortcuts, is a good fit for most average use cases and work flows

in reply to Cris • • •@knezi Its an amazing feature for the right people, but there's a reason no major desktop interfaces have implemented it yet. Though I think the "first party" solution the gnome team is working on may be auto-tiling, just not exclusively keyboard-centric if I remember right

in reply to Cris • • •@CrisColor I'm just very disappointed every time I read about tiling. 😁 I'd love to have Gnome with i3-like tiling natively.
I'm absolutely not willing to set up the windows everytime with this extension. Be it mouse centric, fine, but to me it should be somewhat automatical.
But If people like it this way, sure, why not.
