Where did the Fedora KDE spin come from? It's been part of the Fedora Project for a long time. Through the ups and downs it has emerged as one of the strongest offerings of @kde you can get today!

Thank you to the Fedora KDE SIG, to all the contributors who have passed through over the years, and to the KDE community for working with us on delivering this desktop.

loosening their fishing nets for now, I guess.

I think this whole ordeal angered me personally because learning a new engine and APIs means dedicating so much time that you learn a new way of thinking.

If a company then uses that to trap an entire community, in my opinion that's just evil.

I've been writing about eBPF since it first landed in the Linux kernel a decade ago. It's now more impactful than ever and it just keeps getting better.
“eBPF is amazing at enabling rapid innovation for infrastructure and for tooling at the operating system level,” Thomas Graf said in his eBPF Summit keynote yesterday.

Odd as it might seem, I've been using Mint for way over a decade and I've only looked at Cinnamon once: Cinnamon 6.4 to Debut with Revamped Default Theme linuxiac.com/cinnamon-6-4-to-d…

I wish it were a joke: Ford filed a patent for personalized ads while you drive based on conversations you’re having. This is a lack of respect for consumer safety, privacy, and security. Watch the newest video unpacking it, & share for Ford owners:

Buffer, my favourite social media tool, added scheduled Mastodon Thread posting support.

Not sponsored in any way, just a user. It’s how I post to Mastodon, Facebook and Twitter at the same time.

For Bluesky I just have a script to auto-post as soon as I publish, as I don't really care too much about Bluesky yet.

I just got curious about Bluesky and made an account a couple days ago. I had a follow within minutes, and more replies in an hour than I’ve had my whole time on mastodon. Plus, with multiple feeds, I was able to easily follow good accounts quickly.

I love the grass roots feeling of Mastodon, but it’s often like screaming into the void. I posted a simple Linux question with the popular hashtags and got zero replies here. There, I got 5 replies.

in reply to Liam @ GamingOnLinux 🐧🎮

Do you know if they support posting longer than 500 characters if the instance supports it?

Edit: Just checked, it is fixed at 500 chars. RIP.

Ojaswin Mujoo with IBM has posted an initial set of "request for comments" patches implementing extsize hints for EXT4, similar to the hints being worked on for the XFS file-system. This is important work in ultimately striving toward handling non-torn / atomic writes within the EXT4 file-system...
