More importantly if I may be selfish (on MacOS, not Linux): how is ARM64 platform support shaping up? I’m guessing the relevance for running non-x86 Windows binaries (on Linux, MacOS and any other supported operating systems) will go up now that there are official Windows 11 on ARM laptops to buy from Microsoft and their Windows hardware partners.
@be That one apparently uses MIDI SysEx to communicate, which is too different to USB so it's unlikely to have much in common... (it doesn't even use 8-bit bytes but rather 7-bit data units!)
@be Yes but encoding parameters and mixer settings over SysEx is probably very different to encoding them directly into USB primitives like control messages and bulk transfers...
@Mutesplash The LP32 is 50% more expensive here and looks like it's out of stock in the retailer I usually use... it looks neat though but definitely a lot more complicated!
@Mutesplash Actually the MOTU says it works on iOS so it should be class compliant and "just work" on Linux I think? Honestly if I'd known about it I might have tried it instead... but now I'm invested in the RME so I'm going with this ^^
